Our Courses

Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School offers a complete curriculum from Class 1 to Class 12 following the National Curriculum Framework of Nepal. All subjects are taught by qualified and experienced teachers. The school prepares students for the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) and SLC (Secondary Level Education) conducted by the National Examination Board (NEB).

Primary Level — Class 1 to 5

Nepali Reading, writing, grammar and basic Nepali literature for young students. 1 – 5
English Alphabet, basic reading, writing sentences and simple communication skills. 1 – 5
Mathematics Numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, shapes and basic geometry. 1 – 5
Environmental Science Nature, plants, animals, weather, our community and basic health topics. 1 – 5
Social Studies Our family, community, Nepal's history and geography at a basic level. 3 – 5
Moral Education Good values, honesty, respect, cleanliness and civic sense. 1 – 5

Lower Secondary Level — Class 6 to 8

Nepali Advanced grammar, essay writing, poetry, prose and Nepali literature. 6 – 8
English Grammar, reading comprehension, letter writing and spoken communication. 6 – 8
Mathematics Algebra, fractions, percentages, geometry, mensuration and statistics. 6 – 8
Science Basic physics, chemistry and biology with simple lab experiments. 6 – 8
Social Studies Nepal's history, geography, economy, civics and world knowledge. 6 – 8
Computer Science Introduction to computers, MS Office (Word, Excel), internet basics. 6 – 8
Health & Physical Education Personal hygiene, nutrition, first aid, yoga and physical fitness activities. 6 – 8

Secondary Level — Class 9 and 12 (SLC)

Compulsory Nepali Advanced Nepali grammar, literature, essay writing and comprehension for SLC. 9 – 12
Compulsory English Grammar, reading, writing skills, formal letters and SLC exam preparation. 9 – 12
Mathematics Algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, statistics and probability. 9 – 12
Science Physics, Chemistry and Biology — full SLC syllabus with lab practicals. 9 – 12
Social Studies & Civics Nepal's constitution, government, history, geography and global issues. 9 – 12
Computer Science Programming basics, database, networking and advanced MS Office skills. 9 – 12
Accounting For students — higher calculus basics and mathematics. 9 – 12
Note: All students must appear in the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) at the end of Class 10. The examination is conducted by the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal. Students who pass SEE can continue to Class 11 and 12.
